“Plot to blow up planes foiled”

8:44 am Thu, 10th August 2006

“A terrorist plot to blow up planes in mid-flight from the UK to the US has been disrupted, Scotland Yard has said.” – Full article here

Crap. Not again. *sigh* I really hope these security measures aren’t still necessary in 4 weeks time. Then again.. perhaps I should rethink my holiday plans! Not that I can, as everything is booked, and I’ve already paid for some accomodations.

At the moment, no hand luggage permitted. Only plane tickets and necessary things like wallets are allowed in a clear plastic bag!!! Not even spectacle cases are allowed. Man. Talk about chaos. :(

Puts a whole new thrill into flying overseas eh. :/

The adventure allready starts at your local airport…
I saw a documentary a while ago on airport security. You know they can see trough your luggage, well they can do that for humans too. They have the technologie to see trough your clothes but don’t use it because of privacy reasons.
I think we would see an increse in airport security sollicitants if this would be put to use :)

Anyway, don’t loose sleep over it. The chances that anything happens with your flight are very small.

It’s getting so ridiculous. Oh well, it’s an adventure, and once you’re there, it’ll be great! =)
