Radiohead
8:05 pm Sat, 24th April 2004Last night’s Radiohead gig was AWESOME!! π They are fantastic to see live! π I had a great view in the GA floor area… we were prob about 4-5 metres from the stage! The vibe down on the floor area was great.. everyone was really into it.. and we were so close to the action on stage, so yeh… awesome stuff!
I also took about a million and a half photos (well, more like 60-ish). The only thing I’m kicking myself about now is that I didn’t take any video!! π Argh! I sooo should’ve taken a few small snippets of video.. esp when they played older stuff like “My Iron Lung”, “Paranoid Android” and “Karma Police”. I had a friend sitting in front row seats though, who took a few video snippets. Will be getting em off him sometime when we do a photo swap. Anyways, I’ll upload my photos sometime, probably next week when I get back to work.
Following with my usual tradition of buying a t-shirt at every major gig, I bought myself my first Radiohead tshirt. π They only had one which I liked the colour of – the beige one with “We suck young blood” lyrics on it. Unfortunately they didn’t have x-small.. so I had to do with small, and hope I can shrink it a little in the wash. Good shirt to wear to church sometime… π

u can only shrink stuff if it is usually 100% cotton, in really hot water, and it hasn’t been pre-shrunk. like if u try the dryer.. that works π hehehe.
or apparently if ur in egypt… things shrink good too.

Ahh… cool thanks for the advice. The tshirt I got is 100% cotton.. and its a small guys size.. so yeh, thats why i wanna shrink it. I’ll try the hot water thing… and maybe even the dryer too… π

haah you’re welcome. hehe. i’m so short, so we try to shrink a lot of stuff in the dryer before we see if it needs altering π
hey u reckon u’d ever lose ur passion for going to see live gigs?

Hahah… yeh… I see what u mean… π
Hm… no don’t think so! Nothing beats hearing a band live… thats the true test of whether they are actually good musicians or not… hearing them outside the studio!
What I might get tired of as I get older *sob* is getting GA tix… standing up for 4 hours straight in a cramped crowd can be pretty painful. You can’t move much, can’t go to the toilet… I had a really sore lower back by the end of the night.. and just tired legs/feet in general. Also depends on the crowd. Thankfully Radiohead isn’t really moshing sorta music, so it didn’t get anywhere close to becoming violent. I think the most violent/dangerous moshing gig I’ve ever been to was the Vines. But it was kinda fun too…
